The Prophet Joseph

Sister Cheryl Stone wrote this song a number of years ago.  She has an extensive history of music as she has taught vocal lessons for years and has performed often.  She had a dream to write a song that children could sing about Joseph Smith.  Her own dear husband was a man who would come to every church meeting and activity, but he would not get baptized.  He loved his home teachers and the ward members.  Everyone loved him.  But he would not get baptized.  Cheryl wanted a song that would emphasize the point that The Prophet Joseph was a man of God! Maybe a song that was upbeat and easy to learn would help.  She wrote this song and has shared it with others through the years. About 2 years ago, her husband had a loving home teacher that helped him see how important baptism is.  He was baptized!  His family was elated.  Unfortunately his health declined and they were not able to be sealed in the temple in his lifetime.  He passed away, but he did know that The Prophet Joseph was a man of God.
